One of the most anticipated motorcycles of 2013 was unveiled at Intermot International Motorcycle Show in Cologne, Germany, this week – the BMW R1200GS.

BMW Motorrad’s marketing crew was on hand, producing the video attached above of the all-new R1200GS.

The top-selling adventure touring motorcycle worldwide – over 170,000 units sold of that specific model – enters its ninth year of producion in 2013.

The bike receives many upgrades, including the new air/water cooled boxer opposing twin engine with vertical through-flow, integrated gearbox and left-hand cardan shaft drive. The newly-engineered engine reportedly produces 125 horsepower and 92 ft. lbs. of torque.

BMW has also shaved some weight, and enhanced aesthetics. Though the European model, BMW reports that US-specific information on the all-new R1200GS will be released soon.
