Ducati Motorcycle Recall
Ducati has recalled 2011 Diavel motorcycles manufactured from Sept. 23, 2010, through May 12, 2011, due to license-plate holder issues. Ducati says 964 Diavels are affected.
The brass inserts installed in the Diavel’s chain guard may deform over time, resulting in the possible loosening of the license-plate holder retaining screws on the rear swing arm. This situation could cause the license-plate holder to become loose during operation.
Ducat says the Diavel’s license-plate holder could interfere with the rear wheel, increasing the risk of motorcycle crash.
Dealers will replaced the chain guard with an updated version featuring steel inserts, free of charge. The safety recall is expected to began this month (July).
