Suzuki Motor USA and Pipes Motorsports Group brought West Coast riders together with 2026 Monster Energy AMA Supercross champion Ken Roczen for a recent two-day event in Central California.
The Suzuki Adventure Experience Featuring Ken Roczen and RM Army Boot Camp ran across the Sierra foothills near Madera, pairing guided mountain rides through the Sierra National Forest with motocross sessions at Little Okie MX Park. Adventure, dual-sport, motocross, and street riders spent the weekend riding alongside Roczen, teammate Colt Nichols, and the PMG Suzuki race team. The event drew Suzuki owners, as well as riders from other brands.
Roczen was the main draw. In May, the veteran racer clinched his first 450SX title at the Salt Lake City finale, edging Honda’s Hunter Lawrence by three points, 349 to 346. The win made the 32-year-old the oldest 450SX champion in series history and the first German-born rider to take the Supercross crown, capping a comeback from more than 30 points down at midseason aboard his Suzuki RM-Z450.
Saturday’s Adventure Experience sent riders on scenic mountain routes scaled to a range of skill levels, with food, games, and rider meet-and-greets throughout the day. Participants could demo Suzuki street, ADV, and dual-sport models, introducing motocross-focused attendees to machines they hadn’t considered.
“Many riders came for Ken Roczen and the RM-Z, but left talking about V-Stroms, DR-Zs, GSX-R models, and motorcycles they had never seriously considered before,” said Suzuki Communications Lead Hunter Albrecht. “It was an introduction to new riding experiences, showing riders there’s a Suzuki for every stage of their journey.”
Sunday’s RM Army Boot Camp at Little Okie Raceway in Madera, California, turned to skills-based motocross sessions with the PMG Suzuki race team. Attendees asked about bike setup, race preparation, riding technique, and suspension tuning. They toured the Suzuki race semi and talked with mechanics and team personnel, gaining access usually reserved for factory team members.
Suzuki said the turnout has already fueled planning for future events. For the latest RM Army events, Suzuki Ride Experience opportunities, and racing news, visit the Suzuki website.
