2017 Honda CBR300RR Possible Preview
Honda has released the all-new 2017 Honda CBR250RR in Jakarta, Indonesia after debuting it at the 44th Tokyo Motor Show in 2015. We’ve been expecting a new CBR1000RR for 2017, so a new 2017 Honda CBR300RR would certainly be welcome. So far, Honda has not shown us a 2017 Honda CBR300R, so there definitely is hope.
The CBR250RR pictured is the result of a joint venture with Honda and PTR Astra Honda Motor of Indonesia. Cool features on the CBR250RR motor include throttle-by-wire and three power modes. The chassis is also updated, with a steel tube frame and aluminum swingarm. Suspension remains basic, but with inverted forks and spring-preload adjustable rear shock. Up front, there’s an impressive 310mm wave disc, and ABS is optional.
We love the styling of the 2017 Honda CBR250RR, with dual LED headlights, and angular plastic. The two-outlet exhaust is also nicely MotoGP-inspired.
We definitely think a 2017 Honda CBR300RR would make a nice addition to the Honda supersport lineup. You can read our test of the 2016 Honda CBR300R here.
Why not just make a CBR400RR? It does sound like an interesting idea to me, since it can also be sold at Japan.
