#HowIRoam Ducati Scrambler/Blundstone campaignThe Australia-based Blundstone, which began creating fashionably durable shoes in 1870, has recently collaborated with Ducati. The two brands combined creative energies, and designed a limited-edition #800 Ducati Scrambler boot, which is part of the official collection of Ducati Scrambler apparel. The Ducati Scrambler 800 Boot is now available at us.blundstone.com and at select retailers nationwide.
To celebrate, Blundstone USA has began a motorcycle journey throughout the Pacific Northwest aboard – of course – a Ducati Scrambler, which was featured in our Top 10 Motorcycles of 2015. The journey – profiled under the #HowIRoam campaign – began Thursday, September 10, and will end October 9. When the journey culminates, Blundstone will give away a Ducati Scrambler.Speaking of the Ducati Scrambler campaign, Blundstone says “The #HowIRoam campaign is a celebration of the exhilarating feeling of doing what you love. With no itinerary and no set plans, fans can follow the adventure at @blundstone on Instagram where the brand will document the journey through the sharing of videos and photographs.“Additionally, fans can enter-to-win weekly prizes including Blundstone #800 Ducati Scrambler boots, gear from leading outdoor brand Poler Stuff along with the grand prize—a new Ducati Scrambler. By following @Blundstone on Instagram and posting photos of living life to the fullest using #HowIRoam, fans will be automatically entered to win.”During the #HowIRoam motorcycle journey, Blundstone will capture images and video with sponsored equipment from GoPro and join forces with renowned photographer and Instagram influencer, Benjamin Heath, who will share his stories and imagery from the adventure.“#HowIRoam gives Blundstone a chance to bring our brand to life and share imagery and stories through our social platforms,” says International Sales Executive, Andrew Ross. “We’re very proud to have collaborated with Ducati Scrambler and to offer a motorcycle to a brand enthusiast through this exciting promotion. We’re looking forward to engaging with our customers and seeing the imagery and stories they share.”The Ducati Scrambler’s post-heritage style combines uniquely with the Blundstone boot, both offering comfort and classic styling. For more, visit the Blundstone #HowIRoam page.
Hello everyone and welcome once again to Ultimate Motorcycling’s weekly Podcast—Motos and Friends.
My name is Arthur Coldwells.
This week’s Podcast is brought to you by Yamaha motorcycles. Discover how the YZF-R7 provides the perfect balance of rider comfort and true supersport performance by checking it out at YamahaMotorsports.com, or see it for yourself at your local dealer.
This week’s episode features Senior Editor Nic de Sena’s impressions of the beautiful new Harley-Davidson Low Rider ST that is loosely based around the original FXRT Sport Glide from the 1980s. Hailing from The Golden State, these cult-status performance machines became known as West Coast style, with sportier suspension, increased horsepower, and niceties including creature comforts such as a tidy fairing and sporty luggage.
In past episodes you might have heard us mention my best friend, Daniel Schoenewald, and in the second segment I chat with him about some of the really special machines in his 170 or so—and growing—motorcycle collection. He’s always said to me that he doesn’t consider himself the owner, merely the curator of the motorcycles for the next generation.
Yet Daniel is not just a collector, but I can attest a really skilled rider. His bikes are not trailer queens, they’re ridden, and they’re ridden pretty hard. Actually, we have had many, many memorable rides on pretty much all of the machines in the collection at one time or another.
From all of us here at Ultimate Motorcycling, we hope you enjoy this episode!
