Harley-Davidson wasted not time unveiling its 2015 Road Glide at the 74th annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.

On the opening day of festivities, the Motor Company unclothed the bike that took a one-year hiatus from the lineup – and the Sturgis crowd immediately took notice.

The 2015 Road Glide and the Road Glide Special, the latter upgraded with premium features, was overhauled over the 2013 model.

Harley redesigned the frame-mounted “sharknose” fairing for smoother lines and more aerodynamics. The highlight of this redesign is a new triple-slipstream vent that battles the annoying head buffeting many complained about on previous Road Glides.

Powered by the Twin Cam 103, both the Road Glide and Road Glide Special arrive with many touring amenities, including One-Touch hard saddlebags, cruise control, adjustable air-ride rear suspension, and new ergonomic hand controls.

The 2015 Harley Road Glide Special receives further premium features, including a Boom! Box 6.5GT infotainment system with touch screen and GPS Navigation (upgraded over the standard’s Boom! Box 4.3 infotainment system without GPS), Reflex Linked Brakes with ABS, and hand-adjustable low-profile rear suspension.
