The 2024 Harley-Davidson CVO Road Glide ST is the sportiest bagger from Milwaukee, drawing on the Screamin’ Eagle Harley-Davidson Factory Road Glides that race in MotoAmerica’s King of the Baggers series. It builds on the CVO Road Glide with more power, fully adjustable suspension, bigger brakes, and less weight.
It is the only motorcycle with the Milwaukee-Eight 121 High Output V-twin. Variable valve timing gives way to a high-performance cam, a 58mm throttle body, and 26% more intake flow, good for 127 horsepower at 4900 rpm and 145 ft-lbs of torque at 4000 rpm, the highest production figures from the Motor Company. Lower gearing sharpens acceleration, and titanium Screamin’ Eagle mufflers wear carbon-fiber end caps.
Rain, Road, Sport, Track, and Track Plus modes tailor throttle response, engine braking, cornering ABS, and traction control. Track loosens the rider aids and disables rear-to-front linked braking, while Track Plus removes linked braking and keeps intervention to a minimum.
It is the first Grand American Touring model with fully adjustable suspension: a 47mm Showa inverted fork with DLC-coated stanchions and remote-reservoir Showa shocks with three inches of travel. Radially mounted Brembo four-piston calipers grip 320mm wave-style discs. The CVO Road Glide ST corners eagerly, stays tidy at speed, and handles tight U-turns with a little clutch and brake finesse.
Carbon fiber covers the front fender, tank console, and seat cowl, and lighter wheels, discs, and mufflers trim more weight. It is 25 pounds lighter than the CVO Road Glide, yet still 838 pounds fueled.
A lower, flatter Moto Bar on six-inch risers and a sculpted solo seat set a sportier posture, with a 28.3-inch seat height. The fairing houses a 12.3-inch TFT touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and built-in navigation, plus a 500-watt Rockford Fosgate audio system.
The CVO Road Glide ST is for riders who want a direct link to bagger racing in a machine that still tours. Harley-Davidson offers it in Raven Metallic or Golden White Pearl with race-inspired graphics, priced at $42,999.
