The 2024 Harley-Davidson CVO Pan America is the first Revolution Max-powered motorcycle to get the Custom Vehicle Operations treatment. It is based on the Pan America 1250 Special, and as CVOs go, the upgrades are modest.
The engine, Showa semi-active suspension, and touchscreen display are unchanged. The 1252cc Revolution Max 1250 V-twin makes 150 horsepower at 8750 rpm and 94 lb-ft of torque at 6750 rpm. A Screamin’ Eagle quickshifter for the 6-speed transmission is the only performance enhancement.
Instead, the focus is on accessories. A full set of aluminum cases is standard, with a top case and side cases for serious adventure touring. The aluminum skidplate is more robust, and additional LED lights brighten the way and make the CVO more visible.
Tubeless wire-spoke wheels with anodized aluminum rims improve off-road capability while keeping the 19-inch front and 17-inch rear sizing. Michelin Scorcher Adventure tires are standard, and Brembo brakes with cornering-aware ABS do the stopping.
The Pan America’s semi-active suspension is supple on the highway and balanced in the canyons, and the short-stroke V-twin delivers a flat torque curve and a satisfying rush when the throttle is cracked open. The upright seating position and wind protection suit long days on the road.
Seat height is 32.7 to 33.7 inches, ground clearance is 7.1 inches, and the fuel tank holds 5.6 gallons. Curb weight is 659 pounds.
The CVO Pan America is finished in Legendary Orange paint with Black. At $28,399, it costs $8400 more than the Pan America Special, and there is no longer a standard Pan America in the 2024 Harley-Davidson lineup.
