Kurt Caselli Foundation Launches Official Website

Following the untimely death of Kurt Caselli at the Baja 1000 on Nov. 15, 2013, the Caselli family and those close to the long-time KTM pilot wasted no time trying to protect others from the same fate.

Through various efforts from these folks, the Kurt Caselli Foundation was launched – an organzation that has one major mission – to protect and support the lives of off-road motorcycle riders. And on Thursday, the foundation launched its official website at kurtcaselli.com.

In addition to launching the website, the KCF also reports that it will provide to pre-sweep trucks at this weekend’s SCORE San Felipe 250 event. The trucks will pre-sweep through highly populated spectator areas prior to the race to help clear any inherent danger.

Kurt Caselli Foundation Three-Part Mission

The Kurt Caselli Foundation says it can minimize danger through its three-part mission:

1. Before racing, the foundation is committed to encouraging, developing, and standardizing safety precautions that will help minimize risk outside of the rider’s control.

2. During racing, the foundation is committed to developing, establishing, and encouraging the use of safety equipment and policies to increase safety of the riders.

3. After racing, the foundation is committed to providing a safety net that allows and encourages former racers to further their education and reach career goals for themselves and their families.

With the help of the general public and its generous donations The Kurt Caselli Foundation has been able to raise $60,000 to be earmarked for upcoming safety measures inside off-road racing events. 100% of all donations go to The Kurt Caselli Foundation.
