Besides releasing the name and showing a small image of the Freedom 106 V-Twin that will power its new “Gunner” bobber, Victory Motorcycles has remained completely hush on its newest machine.
But at noon CT Saturday, Victory will debut the 2015 Gunner to the crowd at Chicago’s Progressive International Motorcycle Show.
Steve Menneto (Vice President, Polaris Motorcycles) says: “Bikers have been asking us to give them a bobber with some real power – and that’s exactly what we’re giving them with this bad boy.
“The Gunner’s got the muscle of a heavyweight, the handling of a Victory, and it’s an awesome-looking bobber. There’s no other bike like it on the market, and we can’t wait to lift the cover and reveal it this weekend. The Gunner offers a much-needed option for serious riders in the market for a bobber.”
Though not confirmed, the new machine out of Spirit Lake Iowa is definitely named after Victory’s spokesman, R. Lee Ermey, who played Gunnery Sergeant Hartman in “Full Metal Jacket,” and was also a real-life drill sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps.
