BMW Motorcycle Europe Tour

BMW Tours’ most popular event “Mountains All The Way” – a 2,300 mile riding tour through the best Alpine roads in Europe – sold out early in 2011.

Following popular demand, World of BMW is pleased to announce a second identical tour which will begin a few days after the first. Riders who missed out on the opportunity to experience this tour can now book a place on the second event, “Mountains All The Way 2,” which runs from Sept. 3-11.

“Mountains All The Way” is a nine-day adventure which has been created with the riding connoisseur in mind. Focused around big miles through beautiful landscapes, the route has been planned and refined to take in the best roads and cross over the highest peaks.

The trip proper begins in Troyes, following an early ferry from Dover to Calais, to guarantee a full day of enjoyable riding, and continues into Switzerland, the gateway to the real mountains. One of the highlights of the trip is the famous 2,575m high Grossglockner Pass – but with more than 30 mountain passes included on the route, it’s sure to be just one of many.

Richard Harvey (BMW Tours Director) says: “This is a truly wonderful trip which, as the name suggests, is spent largely enjoying the many stunning mountains roads and passes through France, Luxembourg, Italy and Austria.

“Indeed, it’s been so popular that we’re running an identical trip a few days after the first one sets off! Of course, not all the time is spent on the bikes. We’ve carefully selected welcoming, luxurious hotels and fine restaurants along the way to ensure we travel in style.

“This trip is ideal for dedicated riders who want to experience some of the more technical roads that Europe has to offer. Sportsbikes and sports tourers are popular choices for this tour – however riders of motorcycles of all types and manufacturer are invited to join BMW Tours for this, and any other, adventure.”

World of BMW leads a range of motorcycle tours to dozens of cities and nations across three continents. This year’s tours offer a number of options and destinations. The central theme is, naturally, riding, but BMW Tours offer experiences to suit all kinds of motorcycle and manner of rider. From short, relaxing breaks in Western Europe through to longer adventures in Eastern Europe and South America with optional off-road riding, World of BMW will be there.

Places are available on the second Mountains All The Way tour with prices starting at £1,299 which includes bed and breakfast accommodation, ferry crossings and a number of group meals.
