Daytona Bike Week
Victory motorcycle riders will be kept busy throughout Daytona Bike Week, the traditional kickoff to the new riding season.
They’ll be taking scenic rides and Victory Demo Rides, making runs on the drag strip and entering bike contests, attending the annual Victory Party at Bike Week, possibly winning free cameras – and more.
Below are several of the activities that Victory, its dealers and Victory Riders have organized for Daytona Bike Week.
March 5-12, Daytona International Speedway – Victory Demo Rides
While there’s racing taking place inside Daytona International Speedway, in the parking lot outside the track the Victory Demo Rides are filling the staging lanes. The Victory Demo Ride Site is in its familiar location: In the parking lot outside turn 4 of the racetrack, inside the gate where Richard Petty Boulevard and Midway Avenue intersect.
Victory will offer demo rides on all our models Saturday, March 5, through Saturday, March 12. Rides start daily at 9 a.m. and the last ride rolls out at 4:30 p.m.
March 5-12 – GoPro Camera Give-Away & Photography at the Demo Site
When a rider registers for a Victory Demo Ride, they’ll automatically be registered for a chance to win a free GoPro Hero HD camera. Cameras will be given away daily throughout Bike Week.
Plus, the GoPro Camera Bike will be on the road with Victory Demo Rides, shooting photos of Victory demo riders. Those photos will be uploaded to the Victory website throughout Bike Week, and riders will be able to go online to download their photos. Riders will receive details about how to access their photos when they register to ride.
March 5-12 – Victory Bike Week Pins
Victory Riders can pick up a free Victory Bike Week 2011 pin at the Victory Demo Site or at the Victory Party. Each rider who is wearing Victory apparel or who shows a Victory team member their Victory ignition key will get a free pin. Pins are available while supplies last.
Tuesday, March 8 – Victory Motorcycles / Cabbage Patch Specials
Riders who visit the Cabbage Patch on Tuesday, March 8, should look for special Victory parking and food specials for Victory Riders. The Patch is located at 549 County Road 415 (Tomoka Farms Road), New Smyrna Beach, FL 32168-8943. It’s at the intersection of Pioneer Trail and CR 415.

Wednesday’s big event is the Night Flasher LEDs Victory Bike Show at Volusia Victory. Here’s the Bike Show schedule:
• Registration (free) from 1-3 p.m.

Thursday, March 10 – Victory at the Drag Strip
Through the efforts of several performance-minded Victory Riders and the support of Victory Motorcycles, motorcyclists will be able to enjoy the drag strip experience on Thursday, March 10.
This is a low-key, just-for-fun day at the strip. The only things at stake are pride and bragging rights. First timers are welcome and encouraged to get in the staging lanes for an opportunity to Fuel It. The strip will be open to all brands of bikes, and it’s a bikes-only day, so no cars slowing down the fun!
Each bike will get a simple tech inspection, and each rider on the strip must wear a leather, full-coverage jacket, jeans (leather pants recommended), boots that cover the ankle, full-coverage gloves and a DOT/Snell full-face helmet.
Track admission on Thursday, March 10, is $10, and it costs just $5 more to run on the strip. Unlimited runs can be made from 1-8 p.m.
The action will take place at Speed World Orlando Dragway, 19442 E. Colonial Drive, Orlando, FL 32820. To get there from Daytona Beach, take I-95 south to Highway 50, and take Hwy. 50 west to the drag strip.
Food will be available at the track. This event is made possible through the support of Down South Cycles Racing, Lloydz Motorworkz, Bikes Blues & BBQ, and Victory Motorcycles.
Friday, March 11 – Group Ride to the Victory Party, White Eagle Lounge
Victory Riders are invited to meet at the White Eagle Lounge outside Daytona Beach for a group ride to the Victory Party in New Smyrna Beach. Riders should be at the White Eagle by 10 a.m. for the ride to the party. The White Eagle is located at: 5533 N. US Hwy. 1, Korona, FL 32110, phone: 386-437-2341.
Friday, March 11 – The Victory Party at Daytona Bike Week, Flip Flips Chill & Grill
The annual Victory Party at Daytona Bike Week will be held Friday, March 11, from noon to 2 p.m., at Flip Flops Chill & Grill, the same site as last year’s party. Flip Flops Grill & Chill is located at: 725 E. Third Ave., New Smyrna Beach, FL 32169, phone: 386-424-0161.
Victory Riders should register online for the party. Go to the Victory website and click on the Daytona Bike Week button at the bottom of the home page: victorymotorcycles.com.
This private party is exclusively for Victory Riders, who will be treated to a free lunch, courtesy of Victory. Parking in the Flip Flops lot will be exclusively for Victory motorcycles during the party. All other brands can be parked in the adjacent shopping center lot.
Flip Flops is literally "just down the street" from Volusia Victory, the local Victory dealership. From the dealership, which is located at 1701 State Road 44, New Smyrna Beach, FL 32168, simply head east toward the ocean on State Road 44. The name of the road eventually changes to Third Avenue, and Flip Flops is on the south side of the street between the dealership and the ocean.
