Reports are coming in that a terrible, shocking tragedy has struck the motorcycle community today with the death of Bruce Rossmeyer (Owner of Daytona Harley-Davidson in Florida, one of the largest and most succesful dealerships in the world). During the Hamster’s ride to Sturgis, Bruce crashed his motorcycle and subsequently died in New Castle, WY.
Richie Morris Racing, who races in AMA Daytona SportBike, was sponsored by Bruce Rossmeyer. Richie Morris had this to say…
"Bruce was first and foremost my friend," said Richie Morris. "He stood by me through the good and bad years. We have been partners in racing since 1994. The racing community just lost a loyal supporter and he will be greatly missed."
Danny Eslick, who races in AMA Daytona SportBike, was sponsored by Bruce Rossmeyer. Danny Eslick had this to say after winning the Daytona SportBike race in Topeka following the death…Â
"It was really unfortunate about the passing of Bruce Rossmeyer and we dedicate this win to him," Eslick said. "He was a great guy and our teammate. The family said ‘go win a championship for us,’ so this is the first step."Â
Ultimate MotorCycling and our entire staff extends our sorrow and condolences to the Rossmeyer family and their friends who will remain in our prayers.Â
