    Can-Am is conducting a U.S.-wide search for two new ambassadors, the company said Monday.

    The two riders will join motorcycle touring legends Fred Rau, Lamont Bryden and Daniel Bastien for a six-month stint on the Sypder roadster team, share tales from the road and represent Can-Am at biking events.

    BRP is recalling 160 Can-Am Spyder RT SM5 Roadsters built in 2011 due to power train issues.

    BRP says while downshifting the Can-Am Spyder RT SM5 Roadster, it may be possible to inadvertently engage reverse without depressing the reverse button due to a defective reverse actuator cable.

    The public will get their first look at the BRP Can-Am Spyder Hybrid Concept at the International Motorcycle Show (IMS) in New York City this weekend, Jan. 21-23.

    The BRP booth will be located near the welcome center of the the Progressive International Motorcycle Show, hosted at Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, 655 W. 34th St., NY.

    The Centre de Technologies Avancées BRP – Université de Sherbrooke (CTA) receives $11.3 million in financial support to develop hybrid engine technology for BRP’s Can-Am Spyder roadster.

    This is the only electric hybrid roadster development project in the world.
