The 2024 Aprilia Tuono V4 Factory SE-09 SBK is a numbered special edition of the Tuono V4 Factory that celebrates the RSV4’s first World Superbike victory. Max Biaggi won at Brno on July 26, 2009, during the RSV4’s maiden WSBK season, and the SE-09 SBK wears a livery inspired by his race bike. It retails for $19,999.
The throwback paint is black, with red and white trim on the upper fairing, fuel tank, and tail section. Each bike is individually numbered on the tank.
Carbon fiber brake air ducts and a carbon fiber front fender come standard. Both parts are also available from the Aprilia parts catalog for the standard Tuono V4 Factory.
Factory riders Aleix Espargaró and Maverick Viñales unveiled the SE-09 SBK during the 2024 MotoGP Grand Prix of the Americas weekend in Austin, alongside a matching RSV4 Factory edition.
Mechanically, it is unchanged from the standard Tuono V4 Factory. The 1077cc 65-degree V4 makes a claimed 175 horsepower and is tuned to favor low-end and midrange performance. A cassette-type 6-speed gearbox with a quickshifter sends power to the rear wheel.
The Tuono is an upright sportbike rather than a true naked, with a flyscreen, mid fairing, and chin fairing. Its twin-spar aluminum frame offers adjustable headstock angle, engine height, and swingarm pivot height, and semi-active Öhlins suspension and Brembo monobloc brakes come standard on the Factory.
A strong chassis and a competitive electronics package keep the Tuono V4 Factory toward the front of its category. The SE-09 SBK is for riders who want that upright superbike performance wrapped in a collectible piece of Aprilia’s racing history.
