2026 Triumph Tiger Sport 660 First Look: 10 Fast Facts

The 2026 Triumph Tiger Sport 660 is coming out swinging this year with a handful of updates to keep it fighting in the lightweight sport-touring category. There’s quite a bit of new, but above all, the Tiger Sport 660 is extracting more power from its three-cylinder powerplant. Looking beyond that, Triumph is tapping into additional touring potential with increased range and other long-distance creature comforts in this all-arounder motorcycle.

2026 Triumph Tiger Sport 660 First Look: Specs

  1. The 2026 Triumph Tiger Sport 660 gains 14 horsepower compared to the outgoing model. The headline fact about the new TS 660 is that it produces a claimed 94 horsepower at 11,250 rpm and 50 lb-ft of torque at 8250 rpm, representing a significant uptick in peak ponies. What’s more is that the redline rises to 12,650 rpm, which is roughly a 20 percent increase.

  1. Same displacement, but more power? Let us explain. The brand has opted to deploy its most potent 659cc engine across all 660 platform models, which just so happens to be the same triple found in the Daytona 660 sportbike. That sporty hand-me-down comes with some rich performance-minded benefits, starting with three 44mm bodies rather than a single throttle body shared across all three cylinders. In addition, a more voluminous airbox is in play. However, most of the power comes to us via a revised cylinder head that includes larger exhaust valves, high-lift cam profiles, and an updated tune. As usual for many manufacturers these days, the engine is said to produce 80 percent of its peak torque at 3000 rpm, making it quite responsive in everyday scenarios. A larger radiator fan keeps up with cooling demands, and a revised 3-into-1 underslung exhaust is fitted.

  1. The 6-speed transmission gets revised. The bottom-end received some love, as Triumph cites new input and output shafts. Gear ratios are updated, as well as the bi-directional quickshifter calibration. Rounding out the niceties is a new slip-and-assist clutch that should reduce effort at the lever.

  1. The chassis is still dedicated to a sport-touring mission. The Tiger Sport 660 uses a revised tubular steel perimeter frame redesigned to accommodate the updated intake system. In terms of wheelbase, rake, and trail, it is unchanged from last year. This year’s TS 660 cites a curb weight of 465 pounds, 18 pounds less than the latest Kawasaki Versys 650 LT before the bags are installed on either bike. Speaking of luggage, it’s optional on the 2026 Triumph Tiger Sport 660. The base price of the 660 is $10,455, with the integrated panniers adding $805 to the final bill of sale. If you like to travel light, Triumph offers a $155 roll bag.2026 Triumph Tiger Sport 660 First Look: For Sale
  1. Suspension continues to be provided by Showa, with just under six inches of wheel travel at both ends. The inverted 41mm fork is non-adjustable, while the shock has remote hydraulic preload adjustment for quick setup changes when carrying passengers or luggage.

  1. A larger fuel tank and revised bodywork extend long-distance utility. Fuel capacity increases to 4.9 gallons, extending the Tiger Sport 660’s touring range. At a claimed 58 mpg, you may eke 275 miles out of a tank, depending on how aggressively you twist the throttle and how brave you are when the low fuel light comes on. Sharper bodywork includes updated radiator cowls and a more substantial front-end design that enhances weather protection. The adjustable windscreen, with simple one-handed height adjustments, has a roughly 4-inch range.

  1. The 2026 Triumph Tiger Sport’s ergonomics are designed to keep you on the road. The upright riding position is paired with a 32.9-inch seat height. Although the Tiger Sport 660 is svelte in overall physical size, it offers what we’d consider to be roomy rider and passenger accommodations that support daily commuting and extended touring. Optional low and tall seats are available, along with a top box.

  1. Braking, wheels, and tires are specified for all on-road conditions. Recently, we’ve seen a resurgence in the traditional 17-inch-wheeled bikes in the adventure-tinged sport-touring segment. With that in mind, the Tiger Sport 660 sticks with its street-aimed 17-inch cast aluminum wheels fitted with Michelin Road 5 tires. Braking is identical to what’s mounted on the TS 660’s naked sibling, the Trident 660. There are traditionally mounted two-piston Nissin calipers and 310mm discs up front, with a single-piston caliper and 255mm disc in the rear. Steel-braided brake lines are standard and should improve braking feel at the lever.

  1. Triumph says that it has updated its rider aid package. The Tiger Sport 660 gained IMU-aided cornering ABS and switchable traction control in 2025. However, Triumph isn’t leaving good enough alone and for 2026, saying that its rider aid suite is further optimized. On the electronics front, we are still working with three ride-by-wire ride modes: Sport, Road, and Rain. Each mode adjusts throttle response and intervention accordingly. Those settings can be explored via the same simple hybrid LCD/TFT display.

  1. Dealers will be rolling the 2026 Triumph Tiger Sport 660 onto showroom floors in March. Buyers will choose between two colorways: Silver Ice/Intense Orange and Interstellar Blue/Mineral Grey.
