Hunter Lawrence and Chase Sexton traded moto wins at the 2024 Unadilla National, with Chase Sexton taking his fourth overall win in the 2024 AMA Pro Motocross National Championship Series. Lawrence’s first moto broke Sexton’s seven-moto win street and marked the first time Lawrence has won a 450MX moto. Aaron Plessinger finished in P3 overall with a 3-4 performance. Dylan Ferrandis returned to the top 5 for the first time since the opening round at Fox Raceway with a P4 overall, going 6-3 on the day at Unadilla MX in New Berlin, New York. Jason Anderson’s 5-5 rides gave him P5 overall.

Lawrence, riding the 2025 Honda CRF450R for the first time in competition, led every lap of the first moto, fending off various challenges by Sexton, and was within three seconds of Lawrence almost the entire race. Sexton then led every lap of the second moto, taking a 6.5-second lead on the opening lap, eventually extending it to over 14 seconds. Lawrence had to battle his way from P6 at the start, moving into P2 when Lawrence made a final-lap pass on Ferrandis, costing Ferrandis his first overall podium of the year.

Ken Roczen and Cooper Webb made their first appearances in the 2024 Nationals after being injured during the Supercross series. Roczen went 7-6 for P7 overall, placing as high as P2 in the first third of the opening moto. Cooper Webb had an 8-35 scorecard. Webb crashed out of the second moto, ending up P15 overall.
