2024 Kawasaki Eliminator Buyer’s Guide [Specs, Price]

The 2024 Kawasaki Eliminator revives a name Kawasaki first used in 1985, now on a pro-street cruiser for new riders and anyone who wants a relaxed, easy ride. It is long, low, and sleek, with a slim fuel tank that flows into the seat, twin shocks, and a round LED headlight.

Power comes from a stroked version of the Ninja 400 parallel twin. A 6.8mm longer stroke brings displacement to 451cc, and torque peaks at 32 ft-lbs at 7500 rpm. The engine pulls well from low rpm and keeps pace with fast freeway traffic. The 6-speed transmission shifts smoothly, the assist-and-slipper clutch is light, and Positive Neutral Finder makes neutral easy to find at a stop.

The chassis has dragster proportions, with a steel trellis frame, a 59.8-inch wheelbase, and 30 degrees of rake. An 18-inch front wheel and 16-inch rear wear wide IRC Grand High Speed GS-23 tires. A non-adjustable 41mm fork and spring-preload-adjustable twin shocks handle suspension. The Eliminator is agile in traffic and holds tight lines in the canyons.

The riding position is closer to the Z400 naked bike than the Vulcan S cruiser, so the ergonomics are more pro-street than traditional cruiser. The 28.9-inch seat height makes the bike easy to get on and pull upright, and optional seats raise or lower it by about an inch. The scooped seat stays comfortable all day, and a passenger seat is standard.

A 310mm front disc with a two-piston Nissin caliper engages smoothly and provides plenty of stopping power for a bike that weighs less than 400 pounds. ABS is a $300 option.

The retro-round LCD dash has Bluetooth connectivity to Kawasaki’s Rideology The App, which logs rides, tracks maintenance schedules, and alerts the rider to calls and emails.

Three versions are offered. The standard Eliminator is $6649, and the Eliminator ABS is $6949. The $7249 Eliminator SE ABS adds exclusive Candy Steel Furnace Orange / Ebony paint and graphics, a color-matched headlight cowl, fork gaiters, a dual-pattern seat cover, and a waterproof USB-C outlet.
