2013 Metzeler Legendary Knight Event in Milan
The Metzeler Legendary Knight, a free entrance and open bar event, will take place in Milan, Nov. 5, during the EICMA (Milan Motorcycle Show).
During the event, Metzeler will unveil the new SPORTEC M7 RR supersport tires and the custom touring ME 888 MARATHON Ultra in a Whitewall version and new 23 inch front size.
Two guest stars will be on hand during the unveiling: Aerosmith front-man Steven Tyler of Dirico Motorcycles, and Isle of Man TT favorite Guy Martin.
Steven Tyler is well known as singer of Aerosmith, and he is also an ardent fan of custom motorcycles. Along with Mark Dirico and Stephen Talarico, he founded Dirico Motorcycles USA, a brand born in 2007 and specialized in creating custom motorcycles. They have always exclusively used as “boots” for their creations METZELER tires, among them also the new ME 888 MARATHON Ultra.
Guy Martin, British icon of road races such as the legendary Isle of Man Tourist Trophy, perfectly represents the best technology and the features of the new supersport tire from Metzeler.
The SPORTEC M7 RR, has been developed by the two wheel Specialist brand from experience in roadracing competitions where, together with Guy Martin, they triumphed this year in the Southern 100 and Ulster Grand Prix in addition to countless podiums and successes with other supported riders during the Tourist Trophy and the North West 200.
The event, organized in collaboration with Dirico Motorcycles USA and with Rolling Stone Italian magazine, will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 5, starting at 9 p.m. in the Motoquartiere in the heart of Milan, at Fonderia Napoleonica location situated in G. G. Thaon Di Revel, 21 Street.
All motorcyclists and fans of the German brand of tires will have the opportunity to gather together in a special evening of fun and good music guaranteed by Bud Spencer Blues Explosion and to support in the preview of the new tires, that will be marketed from the beginning of 2014.
This is also an event that will be for Metzeler the culmination of the celebrations for the 150th anniversary.
