Motorcycle and Car Show To Benefit Critically Ill Children
Fans of motorcycles and automobiles can check out the Inaugural Car and Motorcycle Show benefiting the Long Beach Ronald McDonald House, a program of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California
Prior to the show, motorcyclists can register for the Ride and Rally from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Riders will depart from two locations, Orange County Harley-Davidson and Bartels’ Harley-Davidson, and return at the end at the show.
The event will raise funds for, and awareness of, the programs and services offered to families with critically ill children. Fans that attend will enjoy delicious food, music and an auction with items valued at over $1,000 each, plus photo opportunities with Ronald McDonald himself.
Celebrity car customizer George Barris and the Batmobile will be in attendance, as well as a display from philanthropist Michael Armand Hammer. KABC Automotive Reporter Dave Kunz will be the event MC, which runs from 9am to 3pm at the Long Beach Convention Center, Back Lot & Rainbow Lagoon, 300 East Ocean Boulevard in Long Beach, Calif.
The Long Beach Ronald McDonald House is the newest RMHCSC program. A 23-room House, it offers low cost, and often free, temporary housing for families who travel long distances while their children receive treatment at nearby medical facilities. Since December 2011, families from around the world have spent more than 4,200 nights at the House.
