2013 BMW Motorrad Days in Germany
Valerie Thompson, owner/driver of Valerie Thompson Racing (VTR), will be appearing at the BMW Motorrad Days 2013 celebration July 5th – 7th in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany, the biggest BMW party of the year with over 35,000 attendees expected.
BMW Motorrad Days 2013 is a three-day extravaganza featuring “everything BMW,” including new motorcycle introductions, special bike tours, riding demonstrations and races. The highly anticipated inaugural Classic Boxer Sprint, organized by the top German motorcycle magazine MO, will showcase the new BMW Concept Ninety homage motorcycle.
In addition to Thompson, other sports celebrities appearing at BMW Motorrad Days include four-time streetbike freestyle world champion Chris Pfeiffer, adventurer Joe Dakar and the five winners of the “One World. One R 1200 GS. Tour.”
Valerie Thompson says: “I can’t thank the wonderful folks at BMW Motorrad enough for the opportunity to attend this major event that draws BMW enthusiasts from around the world. I’m very excited since this is my first trip to Germany. I only wish I could bring my BMW with me for all the tours they’ll be hosting.”
While in Germany, Thompson will also be the subject of a BMW Motorrad photo shoot by photographer Markus Hofman, whose celebrity clients include Tom Cruise, Adrien Brody, and Formula One drivers Ralf Schumacher and David Coulthard.
Thompson’s next land speed racing competition will be SCTA’s Speedweek at the famed Bonneville Salt Flats August 10-16, where she hopes to set new land speed racing records on her BMW S 1000 RR motorcycle. For details, visit http://www.scta-bni.org.
