ADV Rentals Introduces Self-Guided Cali Tour & BMW GS Fleet

ADV Rentals

Offering the adventure of a lifetime, ADV Rentals is proud to introduce a self-guided, GPS-mapped Best of the Golden State tour that traverses everything from coastal highways and mountain passes to pockmarked fire roads.  Its fleet of street- and off-road-ready BMW R1200, F800 and F650 GS-model motorcycles is specially equipped for this pre-routed trip and can be rented for other local or long-distance rides.

ADV Rentals is an offspring of RawHyde Adventures, a leader in ADVenture tourism for more than a decade. The high-end rental operation supplies dirt-ready bikes for the RawHyde-run BMW Off-Road Academy rider-training program and its U.S.-based adventure tours. ADV Rentals is headquartered at RawHyde’s 500-acre ranch, located an hour north of Los Angeles International Airport.

The Rent-and-Ride itinerary for ADV Rentals’ 6-day California Adventure tour is a 1000-mile combination of dirt and paved roads that lead to some of the Golden State’s most famous attractions. With no-fuss, GPS-guided accuracy, this turn-key trip swoops around California from sea level to a mile high; Big Sur’s majestic Redwoods to Silicon Valley; Golden Gate Bridge to San Andreas Fault; Alice’s Restaurant to Hearst Castle.

Starting in Castaic, in the San Gabriel Mountains above LA, this California Adventure goes over rugged mountains, through valleys, across plains and along Route1, the fabled Pacific Coast Highway. The tour is mapped out to overnight in artsy Cambria, surfside Santa Cruz, San Francisco, the Garlic Capital of Gilroy and Camp RawHyde.

Other ADV Rentals self-guided tours explore Death Valley National Park and conquer the Continental Divide. Convenient and comprehensive, every adventure includes a well-maintained and properly insured motorcycle.

Road-ready and off-road-capable, the BMWs are equipped with everything needed to enjoy smooth sailing on any road surface. Fully accessorized to protect them from the elements, each R1200, F800 and F650 has skid plates, crash bars, hand guards, rugged aluminum saddlebags to haul luggage and fresh dual-purpose tires.

On tour or by the day, all bikes come with unlimited miles. Helmets and safety equipment are available with all rentals and tours. Riders must be at least 21 years old and have a valid motorcycle license.

Whether the dream is to explore California’s most spectacular roads and back country or simply test ride a GS in its natural habitats, ADV Rentals has a GPS-guided route to adventure or rental motorcycle to fit any rider–doing it in the dirt or taming tarmac.
