Honda Powersports USA has just released the attached video of the Johnny Campbell Racing team piloting their CRX enduro machines in the desert.
These dark conditions, typical in races like the Baja 1000, require high-performance lighting systems on the machines. And the JCR Honda crew says these lights work amazing, almost spaceship like.
Speaking of piloting a motorcycle through the desert at night, Johnny Campbell says “you have a hyper-focus…it creates a whole other level of excitement.”
As for Johnny Campbell himself, the 11-time Baja winner will compete at the 2013 Dakar Rally aboard a factory Honda CRF450 Rally alongside many top competitors, including Helder Rodrigues (Portugal) Felipe Zanol (Brazil), Sam Sunderland (United Kingdom) and Javier Pizzolito (Argentina). It’ll also be the first time in 21 years Honda has entered a factory bike in the world’s toughest rally.
