Records were once again broken at this year’s Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, one shattered by Carlin Dunne aboard the #55 Spider Grips Ducati Multistrada 1200 S Pikes Peak Edition.

Dunne posted a 9:52.819, beating his previous record of 11:11.32 set en route to winning last year’s hill climb. Dunne not only took the win, he was also the fastest motorcycle in practice and qualifying for the 2012 “Race to the Clouds” that features 156 turns in 12.42 miles.

Dunne’s teammate Greg Tracey, who pilots the #555 Spider Grips Ducati Multistrada 1200 S, finished second, less than six seconds behind.

This was the third consecutive year the Ducati Multistrada 1200 has dominated Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. In 2010, the Multistrada’s debut year as a 1200 model, Tracey was victorious. And last year Dunne was the winner.

Ducati recently released the attached video above, highlighting the performance of the Spider Grips Ducati team at PPIHC.
