The Royal Enfield Classic 650 125th Anniversary Edition unveiled at EICMA 2025 is about to be available for purchase. Royal Enfield will build just 625 examples worldwide, and the US price is $8499 MSRP. That is $1000 more than a standard Classic 650. Registration is open now on Royal Enfield’s US website, and the bikes go on sale October 26, 2026, at 11 a.m. EDT.
Royal Enfield is selling the anniversary Classic through a one-time online offering. Interested parties must register before sale day to take part, and the name, email, and phone number on the registration cannot be changed on sale day. Production is split into 125 bikes for each of Royal Enfield’s key regions.
Buyers selected on sale day get a confirmation email. They then have 48 hours to pay at the Royal Enfield dealership they chose when they registered; no extensions are granted. A buyer who misses the deadline loses the bike to the next customer on a waitlist. Financing is available through the dealer, and delivery is expected 120 to 180 days after booking.
Hypershift Paint and Trim
The changes are cosmetic, and the star is the Hypershift paint. Royal Enfield chose the colors to reflect its paint history across the decades. A brass base coat honors the company’s first motorcycles of 1901, and the finish shifts between red, green, and gold, and from bright to dark, as the light and viewing angle change. The paint covers the teardrop tank, fenders, side panels, and headlamp nacelle.
Hand-painted pinstripes, a gilded 125-year crest, and special side-panel badges complete the tribute. The tank carries a black center stripe and a black fuel cap, and the engine and twin peashooter mufflers are blacked out. A quilted leather solo seat with contrast stitching is fitted at the factory. The passenger seat comes in the crate, and the dealer can install it at delivery.
Classic 650 Hardware
Underneath the paint, the 125th Anniversary Edition is the same Classic 650 that went on sale in the US for 2026, and that we have tested in England and Florida. Power comes from Royal Enfield’s 648cc air- and oil-cooled parallel twin with a single overhead cam, four valves per cylinder, and a 270-degree crankshaft. Royal Enfield claims 46 horsepower at 7250 rpm and 39 lb-ft of torque at 5650 rpm. A 6-speed transmission and chain final drive put the power to the rear wheel.
The Classic 650 shares its steel-tube spine frame with the Super Meteor 650 and Shotgun 650. A non-adjustable 43mm Showa fork has 4.7 inches of travel, and the spring-preload adjustable Showa twin shocks give 3.5 inches of wheel travel. Wire-spoke wheels with aluminum rims, 19 inches front and 18 inches rear, wear MRF tires.
A single 320mm disc and a single 300mm disc handle braking, each with a 2-piston caliper. Dual-channel ABS is standard.
The seat height is 31.5 inches, the fuel tank holds 3.9 gallons, and the curb weight is 535 pounds. The LED headlight sits in the nacelle, flanked by the Classic’s Tiger Eye pilot lights. An analog speedometer with an LCD inset, a Tripper navigation pod, and a USB-C charging port round out the equipment.
We first covered the anniversary Classic in December 2025, before Royal Enfield announced pricing, production numbers, or US availability.
