Triumph has put a limited-edition crown on its Speed Twin range. The 2027 Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer Edition is a numbered, 800-unit retro sportbike based on the Speed Twin 1200 RS platform, and styled after the British café racers that ruled greater London in the 1960s.
- The Cafe Racer Edition is the most exclusive Speed Twin you can buy. Just 800 will be built for the entire world, and each one ships with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity. “The latest Speed Twin 1200 has already struck a chord with riders across Europe and the U.S. who value performance, style, and everyday usability,” Triumph Chief Commercial Officer Paul Stroud said. “With a global production of just 800 motorcycles, the Cafe Racer Edition will appeal to collectors and regular riders alike.”
- The café racer transformation starts with the riding position. Triumph fits a low clip-on handlebar to position the rider forward into a café racing crouch. Bar-end mirrors continue the theme.
- A brown bullet seat with a removable tail cowl gives the bike its solo-seat look. The passenger pegs are removed at the factory, but are included with the bike so owners can install them back for two-up riding.
- An exclusive paint scheme and graphics set the Cafe Racer Edition apart. The two-tone bodywork pairs Competition Green and Aluminum Silver for the tank and seat cowl, separated by a hand-applied Empire Gold coachline. The “Cafe Racer Edition” script reprises the Empire Gold. A #12 on each side panel reflects the 1200’s displacement, and adds a competition edge. Aluminum Silver wheels, a Competition Green headlight bowl and fork protectors, and brushed aluminum fenders finish the look. Triumph based the green on classic British Racing Green.
- There are plenty of details that add value to the build. Machined bar-end mirrors, ribbed clutch and alternator cover badges, black head bolt covers, and sculpted knee pads round out the upgrades from the RS.
- The 2027 Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer Edition is available to order now. Pricing starts at $18,895.
