BMW Motorcycle Event
Riders, their families and friends are invited to join BMW’s stars, staff, riders and fans for a free festival of all things Motorrad in the heart of Bavaria – and one lucky winner will do so in true VIP fashion.
On the weekend of 1-3 July 2011, upwards of 30,000 visitors will be travelling to Garmisch-Partenkirchen to enjoy a host of on and off-road activities, music, food, drink and entertainment.
BMW Motorrad is offering one lucky rider the chance to experience the 2011 event like never before with a fantastic competition. The winner will stay in Munich for two days, where they will be given a guided tour of the BMW Museum and explore the city before moving on to Motorrad Days and another two nights’ accommodation.

While at Motorrad Days, the winner will get to meet BMW Motorrad Motorsports’ riders including British double World Superbike Champion James Toseland. They will also get to enjoy a test ride on the stunning new K 1600 GT and GTL six-cylinder tourers and enjoy VIP access to all the areas of the festival including complimentary food, drink and, if they wish, fine local beers.
During the festival, hungry and thirsty attendees will eat more than 4,000 grilled chickens and over two tons of roasted pork knuckle and potato salad, washed down with 15,000 plus litres of beer while enjoying the dozens of live bands, exhibitions, interviews with the stars and all manner of shows.
For those wanting to join the party, World of BMW is also running a Motorrad Days tour. Setting off from Dover on 29 June, the guided BMW Tour offers stunning riding experiences through the Vosges Mountains and the Black Forest en route to and from the main event. Prices start at £699.
However visitors travel to BMW Motorrad Days, they can enjoy road-based test rides on the entire 2011 range of BMW motorcycles, including the stunning six-cylinder K 1600 GT and GTL and award-winning S 1000 RR supersports bike, on the fantastic roads that surround the region.
Fans of the GS adventure sports machines can also experience the off-road abilities of the bikes on the Enduro Park, as well as test the Husqvarna sports enduro range on a specially-built X Track arena.
Those without a licence are invited to experience the exhilaration of riding a BMW motorcycle, assisted by expert instructors. BMW Motorrad’s star stunt rider, Christian Pfeiffer, will once again be touring the Motorrad Days event wowing the crowds with a range of heart-stopping tricks and stunts.
