Our Print Publication is no more–we are now digital only, published monthly. [Check out our App here]
Ultimate MotorCycling magazine was launched in 2004 under the Robb Report brand umbrella as the only publication in the world specifically dedicated to the affluent motorcycle enthusiast. Acquired by the Founders from CurtCo Publishing in September 2008 and re-branded Ultimate MotorCycling the publication continues to build upon its reputation for world-class content created by active enthusiasts. Our print publication quickly gained its reputation for being the best because of its unrivalled production values, and coffee-table-level presentation. As a premier advertising environment that zeroed in on this key market segment, Ultimate MotorCycling in print was an exceptional showcase for premium brands wanting to connect with a unique audience. The print publication was published bi-monthly, 5x per year starting with the March/April issue.
Our digital monthly magazine is a real App–not just a PDF reader.
Ultimate Motorcycling launched its iPad App in September 2010 and was the very first US motorcycle digital magazine. As of December 2016 the UM App has been downloaded over 500,000 times, has around 200 reviews on the Apple Newsstand Store, and is 5 Star rated.
It is published every month (12x per year) and is now a true App, not just a PDF reader like all the others. This means our magazine has layers that contain slideshows, embedded videos, animations, and individually zoomable pictures. It looks great on all mobile devices including phones, which is now well over a third of our traffic. The UMC iPad Edition now has 160,000+ monthly subscribers and is growing rapidly.
Advertising pages are carried in between editorial stories and each ad ‘page’ can either be a layered story or a single more traditional picture. However both types of ad can have multiple hotspot links and embedded video for more reader engagement. Of course the big advantage of digital is that it can be shared across social media so if your message is compelling enough then your audience reach can exponentially grow–who doesn’t want a viral message that gets everyone talking?

In our first segment this episode Don Williams takes us for a ride on arguably the most comfortable British take on the American cruiser: the Triumph Bonneville Speedmaster. It’s a superbly relaxed motorcycle in an equally relaxed state of tune, so while you shouldn’t be swayed by the “Speed” in its name, there’s a lot more to the Speedmaster than you might imagine.

In our second segment this episode Teejay Adams catches up with World Cup Bagger racer, Archie McDonald who first came on this podcast last December. Whether you’ve watched any of the World Bagger Cup racing or not, you’ve likely heard of it. Despite a lot of initial skepticism, the Harley-Davidson Bagger World Cup really seems to have captured the racing public’s imagination. The Championship is now being led by Archie, and despite never having seen most of the tracks before, that he’s beating several very experienced and highly talented competitors, shows what an amazing talent he is. Archie is also extremely mature for his just 19-years of age, and sadly, in the last few months he’s had to grow up even faster after his older brother Toby took his own life in April. Archie brings us up to date with his racing for the Joe Rascal team, and he speaks candidly with Teejay about his brother and how Toby’s passing has affected him.
Fair warning: if you’re sensitive to this topic please be careful listening to this segment, and if you or someone you know is struggling with mental health, know that support is available. Here’s quick reminder to check out our monthly digital magazine. It’s filled with everything you want to read on motorcycling, including some things you’ve probably not seen elsewhere. It’s absolutely free and you will find it on the Apple App Store and of course on Google Play as well.
