All of these men have optimal skils in one major category – piloting their motorcycles faster than anyone else on earth.
Fascinated by the speeds created by the MotoGP grid, film director Mark Neale, who produced other known motorcycle racing films “Faster” and “The Doctor, the Tornado and the Kentucky Kid,” will be releasing his newest documentary this summer, “Fastest.”
Mark Neale says: “‘Fastest’ is the greatest feeling. ‘Fastest’ is the greatest risk. This is the essence of MotoGP and of the movie. The ecstasy and the terror of life at the very highest level of motorcycle racing.”
Neale filmed “Fastest,” which is narrated by Ewan McGregor, during the 2010 and 2011 MotoGP seasons. One of the highlights is nine-time World Champion Rossi breaking his leg during the Mugello round in 2010, and arriving back on the grid a bit over 40 days later in Germany to take fourth.
MotoGP says: “Confronting such a monumental task and with rival Jorge Lorenzo taking the 2010 title, Rossi faced up to one of the most testing year’s in his illustrious career and along with his fellow competitors was left asking: Who is the fastest rider now?”
“Fastest” will be released this summer in worldwide markets on a select basis, including UK, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. There is no word on if “Fastest” will make it to the states. For additional information, visit the films production company, Media X International.
