San Diego Supercross: Stats and Facts

AMA Supercross

This weekend, AMA Supercross will compete in California for the last time of the 2011 season.
Going into Round 7 in Cali, there’s a tight battle up top, but Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Ryan Villopoto has the advantage; he holds a nine-point advantage over San Manuel Yamaha’s James Stewart.

Villopoto reclaimed the top spot after Stewart crashed and finished 15th at last weekend’s race in Houston. Taking the win at Reliant Stadium in Houston was American Honda’s Trey Canard. It was his first-ever victory in the premier SX class.

Joining Canard on the podium in Texas was the reigning Supercross Champion Ryan Dungey (Rockstar Makita Suzuki) and Villopoto, respectfully. He currently sits in third, 20 points behind Villopoto.
