Hot Leathers: Success at Sturgis

Sturgis News

Rally Week 2010 has come and gone, but Hot Leathers will be providing bikers with memories of this year’s sizzling Sturgis Rally Week festivities for years to come.

Hot Leathers, the official purveyor of Sturgis Rally Week memories, came out full force this year and was pleased to offer rally-goers several locations to peruse the best selection of motorcycle merchandise around, from Main Street Sturgis to several locations on the grounds of the Legendary Buffalo Chip.

Hot Leathers was once again the Chip’s official merchandise vendor in charge of capturing the unforgettable essence of Sturgis Rally Week at the Legendary Buffalo Chip through their bold designs and original art.

Created specifically to commemorate the spirit of the nation’s foremost motorcycle rally at Sturgis’ most prominent entertainment venue and travel destination, Hot Leathers fashioned a selection of officially licensed Buffalo Chip merchandise including t-shirts, hats and other miscellaneous products for men, women, and children.

Andy George (Hot Leathers Retail Operations Manager) says: "This was one of our most successful rallies ever. We saw many of our loyal customers and met some new ones too. We always love coming out for Sturgis Rally Week, I already can’t wait for next year!"

Hot Leathers store also featured Fuller Hot Rods apparel line and Bryan Fuller, co-host of Two Guys Garage, rode over on one of his custom creations for several meet and greet sessions with fans.

Recently, Hot Leathers also signed a long-term licensing contract with Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, Inc. making Hot Leathers Sturgis’ primary merchandise licensee. Hot Leathers now joins SMRI in promoting and growing Sturgis’ brand awareness worldwide through their one-of-a-kind designs. As a result, customers were also able to choose from a significant selection of Hot Leather’s original and specialty-printed Sturgis Rally 2010 merchandise.

Andy George says: "We really wanted to do it right for Sturgis’ 70th Anniversary. Depicting the nature of such an amazing event is an immensely enjoyable and creative undertaking. Working with the Legendary Buffalo Chip and with Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, Inc. is a phenomenal opportunity for us and so much fun."

In addition to their numerous rally locations, Hot Leathers also boasts a permanent location on Main Street in Sturgis that sells their premium merchandise continually in order to support the local community. Due to their year-round roots, Hot Leathers’ partnership with the SMRI is inherent and Hot Leathers looks forward to helping the City of Sturgis in securing greater opportunities for the future.

A portion of all proceeds of Hot Leathers’ licensed products will be paid to SMRI who in turn will become the conduit for giving back to the greater Sturgis community. Hot Leathers in conjunction with SMRI are hopeful that the synergy of the Sturgis brand combined with Hot Leathers’ unique and innovative designs will grow the Sturgis name and bring it to a whole new level.
