Marco Simoncelli, the 2008 250cc World Champion and 2010 MotoGP rookie rider, descended upon the Dainese D-Store San Francisco to a warm and welcoming crowd of 200 excited fans on July 21st before the Laguna Seca Mazda Raceway MotoGP.
An in-store interview allowed motorcycle-racing fans to hear technical facts of his experiences on different race bikes and different tracks from his beginning in 125cc to his 250cc World Champion title in 2008.
Following the interview, Simoncelli allowed the fans to get close with an autograph and photo session. He charmed the crowd with his warm personality and great sense of humor.
It was a great event for a great rider sponsored by Dainese and AGV products.
In 2009, US fans welcomed Jorge Lorenzo to the D-Store San Francisco before the MotoGP, and this year, Max Biaggi met with enthusiastic crowds at the D-Store Orange County.
Dainese/AGV has continued to welcome American fans to interact with their riders and we look forward to more events in the future.
