Dorna Sports S.L. and Gruppo Campari are delighted to announce the continuation of their partnership following the renewal of their agreement until 2013. This involves the beverage company’s status as an official MotoGP sponsor, which has seen the Cinzano brand become a recognized symbol within the sport through its sponsorship until 2009. In 2010 Aperol takes over as Gruppo Campari’s lead product for the MotoGP World Championship.
The relationship between Gruppo Campari and Dorna stretches back 10 years to 2000 and the Cinzano beverage has become synonymous with the MotoGP World Championship. Through a prominent presence on television via brand displays on track signage, bridges and turns throughout the season, and also title sponsorship of several GPs, especially in Spain and Italy in recent years, Cinzano has become one of the main brands associated with MotoGP.
With the purpose of increasing the popularity of another of their well-known products, Gruppo Campari will this season promote the Aperol aperitif through its title sponsorship of the Gran Premi Aperol de Catalunya and GP Aperol di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini events, as the brand continues to be seen worldwide by millions of MotoGP fans.
