Shoei RF-1000 Motorcycle Helmet Quick Review
Shoei’s superb-looking RF-1000 is, literally, function dictating form; the shell is actually more compact than any other full-face helmet, and offers excellent aerodynamics. I prefer a Shoei because, when tucked into a racing crouch, the front of the helmet shell does not block my eye line and, at three pounds, six ounces, the RF-1000 is one of the lightest helmets available.
The faceshield is remarkably simple to change, and the flat fit against the sides of the shell helps quiet wind noise. With four different shells and five EPS liner sizes providing a perfect fit, plus a soft, removable lining for long distance comfort, the Shoei RF-1000 ranks right up there among the best of the best in terms of protection, comfort, and quality.
