Moto Art: Bell 21 Helmet Show (Video)

Bell Helmets

When many think art, the last thing to come to mind are motorcycle helmets. But "motorcycle evangelist" Thor Drake thinks differently, and recently combined moto culture with high art.

But it wasn’t the typical art associated with motorcycles, such as high-priced paint jobs found on choppers loaded with chrome. Rather, the curator of the One Motorcycle Show in Portland, Oreg., showcased creativity based on helmets.

Drake assembled 21 artists, and paired them with blank white Bell Custom 500 helmets. The artists used their personal expressions, and created 21 unique helmets that were recently displaced at the One Motorcycle Show.
