TTXGP Previews Round 3 in Canada

Despite a monsoon welcome, TTXGP North America Round 3 arrives at Canada’s home of motorcycle racing, Mosport, hosted by Parts Canada Superbike Championship 2010

Crossing the border after two thrilling rounds in the USA, TTXGP arrived at Mosport to a very warm welcome despite the downpour.

All the zero-emission race teams had made significant improvements and started a rain delayed qualifying session in front of a curious but very friendly audience.

The best laptime from the first session was held by Michael Barnes, on the Lightening Motorcycle at 1:39:289. Michael was only 16 seconds slower then the fastest laptime on the previous dry day held by Jordan Szoke on the Honda CBR600RR.

Team Norton with Thad “The Wolfman” Wolff and Brian Richardson ran with a brand new cooling system after suffering from heat performance at Elkhart.

Michael Hannas showed his chops by running ElectricRaceBike just ahead of Team Werkstatt. Team Square Wave rounded off the session.

Nothing is set and nobody was really pushing with a wet track. A second session is due on Saturday so we’ll know final grid positions then. Team Agni, winners from Infineon, missed the start of the first session but is expected to join on Saturday.

The race starts at noon on Sunday. The forecast is it’s gonna be a bright, bright sunshine day.
