RS

The 2024 Triumph Street Triple 765 RS is the track-ready version of the fourth-generation Street Triple. Compared with the road-focused R, it has more power, sharper geometry, and higher-spec suspension, brakes, and tires, for $12,595.

The 765cc inline-3 makes 128 horsepower at 12,000 rpm, 10 more than the R, and 59 lb-ft of torque at 9500 rpm. Shorter intake trumpets, new valves and cams, and a higher 13.25:1 compression ratio drive the gains. The two engines are mechanically identical, with separate states of tune, and the RS’s extra top-end pull stands out on a racetrack.

Gearing is revised, with a taller first gear and shorter ratios above it, plus a shorter final drive. An up/down quickshifter is standard, and the ride-by-wire fueling is clean and responsive.

The RS raises its rear ride height for a steeper 23.2-degree rake and 3.81 inches of trail, with a 55.1-inch wheelbase. Seat height is 32.9 inches, and a slim chassis makes that easier to manage. Low-seat options are available, and the handlebar is 12mm longer than before.

Suspension is fully adjustable at both ends, with a Showa Big Piston fork and an Öhlins STX40 shock. The range of adjustment takes the RS from compliant on the road to stable and steady on the track. Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP V3 tires provide more grip than the R’s Continental ContiRoads.

Brembo Stylema calipers and a span-and-ratio-adjustable Brembo MCS master cylinder deliver excellent bite, modulation, and stopping power.

IMU-based electronics bring cornering ABS, lean-angle-sensitive traction control, wheelie control, and linked braking. Ride modes are Road, Rain, Sport, Rider, and Track, and Track mode disables cornering ABS and linked braking for trail braking. A 5-inch full-color TFT display is standard.
