Aprilia has unveiled the 2027 RS 660 Phillip Island Tribute, a limited-edition version of its middleweight sportbike that honors the Australian circuit as it drops off the MotoGP calendar. The Tribute reaches US dealers in the first quarter of 2027 at $11,999 MSRP, a $150 premium over the standard RS 660. Aprilia has not said how many it will build.

Phillip Island has hosted the Australian Grand Prix every season since 1997, apart from the 2020 and 2021 cancellations. The racing this weekend is the last scheduled MotoGP event at the picturesque venue, as the Australian round moves to a street circuit in Adelaide in 2027.

Aprilia counts 10 Grand Prix wins at Phillip Island across all classes, along with World Superbike victories there with the RSV4. The most recent came in 2025, when Raúl Fernández won the MotoGP race on a Trackhouse Racing RS-GP. It was his first premier-class win and Aprilia’s 300th in Grand Prix racing. Aprilia says that total makes it the most successful European manufacturer in Grand Prix history.

The Tribute’s changes are cosmetic. A white base, green on the sides and tail section, and red wheels appropriate the colors of the circuit’s logo. The side panels also sport the logo, which is drawn from the track layout, above the words “Phillip Island Circuit” and a checkered flag. A badge on the fuel tank shows the number of wins Aprilia has at the circuit, and each bike’s serial number is on the top triple clamp. A single-seat tail cowl that covers the passenger seat comes standard.

Everything else is the 2027 RS 660. The 659cc parallel twin makes 105 horsepower at 10,400 rpm and 52 lb-ft of torque at 8400 rpm, and it serves as a stressed member of the aluminum twin-spar frame. The 6-speed transmission has a quickshifter, and the clutch is a slipper unit. KYB suspension at both ends is adjustable for spring preload and rebound damping. Radial-mount Brembo 4-piston calipers grip 320mm front discs.

The electronics package runs off a six-axis IMU. It includes cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, engine-brake control, launch control, cruise control, and five riding modes. A 5-inch TFT display, backlit switchgear, LED lighting, and steel-braided brake lines are standard. Seat height is 32.3 inches, and curb weight is 403 pounds.

Aprilia will display the RS 660 Phillip Island Tribute at EICMA in Milan, Nov. 5-8.
