Runner-up Ken Roczen (#96) congratulates Denver Supercross winner Hunter Lawrence. The two will battle for the 2026 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship at the final round on Saturday at Salt Lake City.

A dominating winning performance by Hunter Lawrence at the Denver Supercross means it is a mano-a-mano battle for the title between Lawrence and Ken Roczen in the final round of the 2026 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship Series. Roczen, who finished in P2 at Empower Field at Mile High, will bring a one-point lead over Lawrence into Salt Lake City on Saturday. Lawrence controls the tiebreaker, so Roczen must be one point ahead of Lawrence to win the championship.

After a Jorge Prado holeshot, Lawrence took the lead on lap 2. Lawrence quickly gapped the field and won the 25-lap race by over 12 seconds. Roczen finished the first lap in P5 and had to battle to get to the runner-up position on lap 4, though Lawrence had a healthy lead at that point.

Eli Tomac, returning from an injury after a lackluster late-season run, returned to the podium for the first time since round 10 in Birmingham. Tomac had to work for his P3 finish, as he was in P7 after two laps. He passed Malcolm Stewart on lap 4, Justin Barcia on lap 7, Cooper Webb on lap 8, and Jorge Prado on lap 12. From there, it was clear sailing for Tomac, though he was never a threat to Roczen.

Carnage for the rest of the top six positions unfolded late in the race. Dylan Ferrandis and Justin Cooper collided on lap 22 while battling for P6, dropping both out of the top 10. A lap later, Prado and Webb tangled in a fight for P4, with Webb crashing and Prado losing a spot.

Stewart took advantage of the crashes to move from P9 on lap 21 to P4 at the finish. Likewise, Sexton, who started the race in P14, advanced from P10 on lap 21 to P5 on lap 24. Prado was able to hang on to P6, while Webb finished in P11 and Cooper in P13.

Defending 450SX Champion Webb was mathematically eliminated from the title chase due to the 1-2 performance of Lawrence and Roczen. Webb is 22 points ahead of Tomac going into the final round, while Cooper is 24 points behind Tomac. Cooper has clinched a top-five position for the year via a 39-point lead over Sexton.
