The inexpensive mid-size dual-sport class continues to expand with the new 2026 Moto Morini Kanguro. Taking its name from a 1980s model, Moto Morini expects the bike to have a broad appeal, throwing around terms like “off-road riding and “adventure touring”. Here’s what we know about the 2026 Moto Morini Kanguro.
- The 292cc motor is a revver. It’s a liquid-cooled DOHC design that delivers 34 horsepower at 9000 rpm. The torque peak of 20 lb-ft comes just 500 rpm sooner. This works out to a claimed top speed of 81 mph. While we don’t know how many ratios the gearbox has, we can tell you the motor is Euro 5+ compliant.
- The Kanguro’s chassis is a traditional steel frame. However, the subframe and swingarm are aluminum. The dry weight is claimed to be 320 pounds, which is not a particularly helpful statistic. Moto Morini has not revealed the rake and trail.
- Suspension is a step up from basic. Boasting 9.8 inches of wheel travel at both ends, Moto Morini describes the linkage-assisted shock as being fully adjustable. However, there’s no mention of fork adjustability.
- The 21-/18-inch wheelset is pure dual-sport. Wire-spoke wheels on the Kanguro also tilt the bike toward dual-sport rather than adventure. Moto Morini has not confirmed a tire choice.
- ABS is standard, with an off-road mode available. A 260mm disc at the front is grasped by a two-piston caliper, with a single-piston caliper managing the 250mm rear disc.
- The 2026 Moto Morini Kanguro will debut on showroom floors sometime in the second half of this year. We don’t know if the Kanguro will be imported into the United States, and there’s no price set for the bike in Europe.
