As is often the case at Triple Crown events, the most consistent rider takes the top spot. Cooper Webb scored his first victory of the 2026 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship Series with a 4-2-3 card on a night with close, intense racing in the 450SX division. Webb bested Hunter Lawrence by a point, as Lawrence crashed in the first Race and went 7-1-2. Ken Roczen’s 1-5-4 night put him on the podium, as he lost the last-Race tiebreaker to Lawrence. Race #3 winner Eli Tomac went over the handlebar in a hard crash in Race #2 and finished in P4 overall with a 3-13-1 result. Despite multiple falls, Chase Sexton finished P5 overall thanks to a 2-9-6 result.

One point separated the top three riders, while P4 through P7 had a two-point spread. Roczen had a shot at the overall in Race #3, but was unable to catch Webb, with Roczen finishing less than one second behind Webb. With Lawrence settled in P2 overall and not within striking distance of Tomac in Race #3, a Roczen pass would have given Roczen the win and dropped Webb to P3 overall.
Going into Race #3, Jorge Prado had a shot at the overall victory thanks to a P5 and P3 finish in the first two Races. However, he dropped to P7 overall due to his P11 performance in Race #3. Jason Anderson led laps 3 through 5 in Race #3 before slipping back to P5, his best ride of the night. Anderson’s 6-7-5 consistency gave him P6 overall.

Tomac retains the lead in the 2026 Monster Energy AMA Supercross standings with his first finish of the year off the podium with 88 points. However, the title chase tightens up with Lawrence four points shy of Tomac. Roczen is eight points behind Lawrence at 76 points, moving Roczen two points ahead of Sexton. Defending Supercross Champion Webb started the night at NRG Stadium 24 points behind Tomac, and is now 17 points back, bringing Webb back into contention for the title.
The 2026 Supercross series resumes on Saturday at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
