Webb Fabrication Custom Motorcycle Stands First Look

While most motorcycles have kickstands, that’s not the case on many competition bikes. Road racers rely on front and rear stands to keep the motorcycle from falling over in the pits, while motocrosser racers use a stool-like structure to simplify maintenance and to help you resist the temptation to lean your bike against your truck or van.

Plenty of off-the-rack stands do a great job. However, if you want something personalized beyond a sticker, it’s a bit more complicated—that’s where Southern California-based Webb Fabrication comes in. Webb Fabrication makes bespoke hand-welded stainless-steel stands for off-road bikes.

Starting at the top is a 10-by-10-inch base with a quarter-inch rubber top that sits 16.5 inches tall—high enough for a full-size dirt bike to have both wheels off the ground for maintenance. The top is secured with stainless steel rivets and reinforced with glue.

Four legs hold the Webb Fabrication stand up with four plates for increased rigidity. The legs spread out to a 13-by-13 inches footprint. The legs have integrated plastic feet to protect your garage floor and add stability. You’ll note that the stand does not have a tray inside the legs. Webb Fabrication’s Derek Webb tells us he is working on prototype trays, and may be able to accommodate special requests.

The customizing comes from Webb’s welding on the stabilization plates. While you’re likely to put your name and number, Webb will weld whatever will fit onto the plate. There won’t be any question that the bike stand is yours.

Additional customization includes sizing. If you need a stand for a mini, Webb Fabrication and make one to your specifications.Webb Fabrication Custom Motorcycle Stands First Look: Dual Sport Bikes

The Webb Fabrication custom motorcycle stands have a base price of $97. The personalized welding costs $20 per plate, so the price tops out at $177 ($97, plus $20 x 4). Webb Fabrication has an Instagram page, and can be contacted via email or phone (951-704-2018).
