2015 Sheffield X-Trial Season Opener
Eight-time World Champion Toni Bou wasted zero time this past weekend during the opening round of the 2015 FIM X-Trial World Championship in Sheffield, Great Britain.
Bou piloted his Repsol Honda to a 27th-consecutive Trials victory after some flawless runs in Sheffield. Speaking of the X-Trials event, Repsol Honda reports that Bou finished the first pass through the six zones of the round with the best result. In the second lap, Bou dominated again on the demanding areas that forced him to secure in one of the zones. He ended with the same score of the first phase and won the race, as his rivals were not able to finish the obstacle.
Joining Bou on the podium were Sherco’s Albert Cabestany and GasGas’ Adam Raga, respectively. With his win, Bou now has 20 points after one of six rounds. He leads Cabestany by three, and Raga by five
“I’m very happy to have started the year in this way. I was a bit nervous and I wanted to start aggressively. I think I did very well. During the last months of the year we worked a lot and I am very satisfied with the job we did and that I was able to be strong today,” Toni Bou says.
The series now heads to Marseille in France January 31.
