Valerie Thompson, 5-time land speed record holder and world’s fastest BMW motorcycle racer named co-leader for International Female Ride Day event in Scottsdale
Five-time land speed record holder, Valerie Thompson, and AMA Pro Daytona SportBike and Spanish CEV Championship racer, Melissa Paris will lead the Scottsdale International Female Ride Day event, the world’s only synchronized women’s motorcycle “Just Ride” day on Saturday May 3.
Rider registration and breakfast begins at 9 a.m. at Go AZ Motorcycles in Scottsdale.
The tour departs at 10 a.m., taking riders to the top of South Mountain for a group photo overlooking Phoenix, followed by lunch with Thompson and Paris. This is a free event, but riders must RSVP.
“This will be my second year participating in International Female Ride Day, which seems to grow in popularity each year,” said Thompson. “Go AZ Motorcycles has been a long-time sponsor of my land speed racing team, so it’s very gratifying to celebrate this worldwide event with them,” added Thompson.
