2014 Supercross Onboard GoPro Video of Ryan Villopoto
Ryan Villopoto simply dominated at Daytona Supercross by Honda last weekend, the Monster Energy Kawasaki KX-F 450 rider leading all 20 laps.
The win was Villopoto’s third of 2014 Supercross, and his fourth in five years at Daytona. He is now tied with Jeff Stanton for Daytona wins; the only rider with more is Ricky Carmichael, who has five.
Villopoto put in an impressive run at Daytona SX. And though he dropped his bike with seven laps remaining, he was able to finish over 12 seconds ahead of Red Bull KTM’s Ken Roczen.
The video attached above displays Villopoto’s aggressive riding during the opening lap of round 10 in the 2014 Supercross Championship.
With seven rounds remaining, the three-time Supercross Champion Villopoto has a 28-point lead over Red Bull KTM’s Ryan Dungey, who finished third at Daytona.
