Texas GNC Motocross Racing Joins 2014 AMA Sanctioning Calendar

GNC Motocross Racing

For more than 40 years, Texas racers have been competing in GNC motocross.

The American Motorcyclist Association is pleased to announce that for 2014 these events, held at Oak Hill Raceway in Decatur, Texas, will be AMA sanctioned.

Kip Bigelow (AMA Motocross Manager) says: “GNC motocross events are some of the best run in the country, and with years of experience behind them, the team at Oak Hill Raceway just keeps getting better.

“Many racers who have honed their skills at this venue have gone on to successful pro careers, and we are excited to see these events join the AMA sanctioning calendar for 2014.”

Kicking off with the GNC Warm Up Race on Feb. 9-10, the season hits full stride with the popular 38th Annual FMF International GNC Motocross Final presented by Dunlop, March 12-16. Online registration is available now at www.gncmxracing.com.

Jeff and Dawn Oldenburg (Owners, Oak Hill Raceway and GNC) say: “Joining forces with the AMA will make racing stronger and provide for a more uniform approach to amateur motocross racing in our state.

“Our goal is to help grow the sport. Making the FMF GNC International Final an AMA-sanctioned event is just the first step. The yearlong GNC Texas series, with a 40-year tradition, will also be AMA sanctioned. We look forward to a long relationship with the AMA and are excited about the future.”
