Husqvarna 701 Prototype Supermoto Motorcycle
At this week’s EIMCA Milan Motorcycle Show, Husqvarna unvieled a new concept bike – the 701 Supermoto.
The bike offers a look into the future of the manufacturer that was bought by KTM this year. The Husky 701 Supermoto “gives a visual indication of the direction of Husqvarna design, the philosophy that future Husqvarna’s will follow, where the surfaces of the bodywork are understated, focusing on simplicity.”
Powering the 701 is a 690cc single-cylinder four-stroke engine, which produces 75 horsepower. The engine is wrapped in a lightweight, Chromoly steel trellis frame, and suspension duties are handled by WP components. Stopping the 701 Supermoto are Brembo radial-mounted brakes.
Husqvarna, which celebrates its 110th anniversary, will release additional details soon.
