The American Motorcyclist Association, in partnership with MX Sports, is pleased to announce the AMA Regional Championship schedule that will qualify riders for the 2014 AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship at the Loretta Lynn Ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tenn., July 27 to Aug. 2, 2014.

Kip Bigelow (AMA Motocross Manager) says: “The AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship features the deepest field of the fastest amateur motocross racers in the world.

“We’ve worked closely with MX Sports to put together an impressive lineup of Regional Championships that will be the final step to qualifying for a gate pick at the national – and an exclusive shot at winning an AMA national No. 1 plate.”

The AMA Regional Championships crown regional motocross champions in seven regions of the United States. The best riders from each region are invited to compete at the AMA national in Hurricane Mills.

Tim Cotter (MX Sports Event Director) says: “MX Sports, along with the AMA, is pleased to take Loretta Lynn’s racers to what we believe is the best facility lineup ever.

“The 2014 Regional Championship schedule visits five Pro Motocross Championship tracks, including the newest addition to the Mideast Amateur lineup in Crawfordsville, Ind.”

The AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship includes classes for riders from 4 years old to 50-plus on a range of motorcycles, including 50cc minibikes to state-of-the-art highly modified 450cc motocross machines.

The AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship, produced by MX Sports, is the premier amateur motocross event in the country. Nearly every professional racer competing in the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship earned his or her way to the pro ranks through the AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship at the Loretta Lynn Ranch.

Riders must qualify at an AMA Area Qualifier to compete in a AMA Regional Championship. The 2014 AMA Area Qualifier schedule will be announced soon.
