MV Agusta in World Supersport
Back in May, MV Agusta earned its first podium position in 37 years. The podium arrived at Donington World Supersport.
ParkingGO’s Robert Rolfo would earn the third-place finish abroad the F3, the first podium for MV Agusta since Giacomo Agostini earned one back in 1976 in Nurburgring in the World Championship.
And once again at Magny-Cours this past weekend, the ParkingGO MV Agusta team earned another podium. This time it was Christian Iddon who took third behind Yamaha’s Sam Lowes – the 2013 WSS Champion – and the race winner, Kawasaki Kenan Sofuoglu.
During the race, Iddon led a few opening laps before getting passed by Sofuoglu and Lowes. While running in third, the Englishman high-sided. But the race would end under red flag, and all positions would be awarded based on previous-lap positions. Iddon would be awarded third.
Giovanni Castiglioni (President and Managing Director of MV Agusta) says: “We are very satisfied with the results obtained in this first season. With the developments that we are working on, we are sure that we’ll be even more competitive next year and able to continually battle with the leaders.”
