2013 BMW MOA Rally News

Ahead of the 2013 BMW MOA International Rally at the Oregon State Fairgrounds July 18-21, the Seattle-based adventure motorcycle accessory company AltRider is offering a one-day ADV ride through the Cascades.

Climb elevation on the thrilling trails of Mt. Jefferson for a gripping off-road adventure at AltRider’s MOA Adventure Ride on Wednesday, July 17, in Salem, Oreg.

The GPS-led sub-alpine adventure ride will take participants along the base of a volcano, where the trails are lined with plumes of flowers and lush forests.

Meet at the Oregon State Fairgrounds for a rider’s meeting with AltRider President Jeremy LeBreton before you leave for a day in Oregon’s backcountry. Groups will be split up based on skill level for a better overall experience –from the first time off-road riders to the advanced, there’s an adventure for everyone.

Midway through your mountain climb, chow down on a BBQ pork sandwich at a charming motorcycle bar that overlooks the gorgeous Lake Detroit. Spend the rest of the day exploring the mountainous terrain on two wheels until dusk.

The $45 registration includes an entire day of GPS-led routes created by local expert rider Dave Wachs, a delicious BBQ lunch by Detroit Lake, and an invitation to camp with AltRider during the BMW MOA Rally weekend.
